Day 1 of 5-Day Gorilla safari and Chimps Tracking1: Arrival and Transfer to Kibale National Park
On the first day of 5-Day Gorilla safari and Chimps Tracking, Upon arrival at Entebbe airport for your gorilla trekking and chimpanzee safari, you will be greeted by our company representative and your driver/guide. They will accompany you as you track chimpanzees in Kibale forest, located in the western part of Uganda. The journey will take you through Mityana and continue to Fort Portal, where you will have a lunch break. Continue to Kibale forest and arrive in the late afternoon. Enjoy an evening meal and spend the night at Primate Lodge Kibale.
Day 2: Engaging in Chimpanzee Tracking in the Kibale forest
Day 2 of 5-Day Gorilla safari and Chimps Tracking, following breakfast in the morning, arises early in order to observe chimpanzees in close proximity to Kanyanchu. This can require a duration of approximately twelve hours. The area is inhabited by many primate species, including the golden monkey, L’Hoest monkey, baboons, white and black colobus monkeys, grey checkered mangabey, red colobus, blue monkeys, and pottos. Additional fauna found in the area consists of distinct forest elephants, massive forest hogs, and a remarkable variety of tree species.

Delight in a midday meal and subsequently participate in a supervised excursion into the natural surroundings of Bigodi wetland reserve, an ideal location for bird enthusiasts. The Great Blue Turaco and Papyrus Gonolek can readily be distinguished from the other 137 bird species. Additionally, there exists a wide variety of butterfly species. Return later for dinner and spend the night as previously mentioned.
Day 3: Exploring Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Day 3 of 5-Day Gorilla safari and Chimps Tracking, after enjoying your morning breakfast, you will depart for Bwindi Forest, which is the habitat of gorillas. Along the way, you will drive through the Ishasha sector in Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is renowned for its tree-climbing lions. Proceed to Bwindi, stopping for lunch along the way, and arrive in the afternoon. Enjoy an evening meal and spend the night at Gorilla Forest Camp.
Day 4: Bwindi Mountain gorilla tracking
Enjoy a morning meal, then proceed to the park office headquarters with a packed lunch for an important briefing before embarking on a gorilla walk in the dense impenetrable forests. Following a trip lasting around 5-8 hours, you will have the opportunity to spend one hour in the company of gorillas.

If you are still feeling energetic, simply take a short stroll through nature to reach the nearby Batwa settlement. Explore the curio shops and the children’s school, among other attractions. If you have an affinity for nature, you may consider exploring the Munyanja river trail, which offers the opportunity to observe a diverse range of bird species and butterflies. Please come back for dinner and stay overnight as previously mentioned.
Day 5: Returning to Kampala
On the last day of the 5-Day Gorilla safari and Chimps Tracking, Indulge in a delightful morning meal and then return to Kampala, stopping in Mbarara town for lunch along the way. Conclude your gorilla trekking and chimpanzee tracking tour by being transported to Entebbe airport for your return journey home, carrying with you lasting memories of the experience.
